Due to the far reaching capabilities of the Internet and the World Wide Web, we no longer just sell our dogs to local buyers. Because of this we make every effort to screen potential homes and sometimes it takes a talk with several people who can give their opinion on whether the family will provide the type of home we want for our prescious Boxer puppies off to, so we often ask for references from our buyers. It seems only fair that we offer potential buyers the same courtesy.
In the past I have provided email addresses and sometimes phone numbers of some of my references so that they can check me out and determine whether I am the type of breeder they want to do business with, and, whether my dogs are really everything I say they are. The problem is that the Internet has brought us such a large number of inquiries that our friends are getting tired of basically saying the same thing, over and over again. Therefore I have gone back to several of the people who have either gotten multiple dogs from us, or they currently have, or have had, one of the eldest living members of our bloodline and I asked them to write a letter to you; the person who is looking for information about my reputation as a breeder before choosing a new member of your family. More recently some of our new friends have provided letters for you as well. Here is what a few of them have to say:

In February my husband and I adopted a 10 month old female boxer pup from Lucinda Rudolph at B4 Boxers. Lucinda and I communicated by email and phone for a month before I made my decision to purchase the puppy. When I finally decided I would take Zapria, I was unable to pick her up for 6 weeks due to an unexpected health concern, Lucinda was so accommodating. She offered to keep Zapria until I was strong enough to bring her home.
I made such a strong connection to Lucinda, I felt it necessary to go pick up my puppy at the kennel. I was so happy that I did. Lucinda and Kevin don’t just breed boxers – they raise these puppies like they are family members. The pups are well socialized not just with humans, but with other dogs. The pups are not kept in kennels 24/7, they are allowed to play in groups in back yard. Most importantly they are trained to have proper basic behaviors, older pups like mine can sit, load up, off, and don’t jump up on you. Due to my health issues, we haven’t been to a training class yet.
I want to tell you about my little girl, she’s beautiful as you can see by her picture. She will sit, she understands no, quite, load up, leave it and many other basic phrases necessary for life with a dog. My little girl maybe different from the pup you adopt, but let me tell you she hasn’t chewed anything in my house, she doesn’t jump up on anyone, she is not dog or human aggressive. It did take us a few weeks to get the indoor/outdoor potty thing right, but we were part of the problem. Just when we had it licked, she began to due duty in her kennel, with a quick call to Lucinda we fixed that as well. I have had 2 other boxers, at 10 months they were both terrorists. Not true of my new puppy, she is so well behaved I don’t worry about taking her anywhere. She is my constant companion.
Last week she shocked me by greeting me in at the front door, this was disconcerting since she is crated when we leave home. Somehow she opened the sliding latches and got out. My home was intact and the only damage was elastic chewed off my shoe. If that had been either of my other two boxers my house would have been destroyed. Of course I called Lucinda to report how her smart little Zapria had figured out how to get out of the kennel. We had a good laugh.
I strongly recommend B4 Boxers and Lucinda Rudolph for your next boxer puppy or even an adult dog, you will not be sorry.

I have owned 3 dogs from B4 Mystic Kennels. It is amazing how much “tech support” and advice I’ve gotten from Lucinda over the years.
Let’s see, first there was Nova, what a personality! She thought she was human. She was great protection, and she adapted very well to our (then) frequent moves. She certainly loved being in the middle of things, on the roof, in the pool, sleeping at my feet in the living room, in the conversation, and oh, the tricks she would do. What a fun dog.
Next we had Jasmine & Puppy Boot Camp. What a blessing! I just couldn’t get Jasmine to understand me. Lucinda saved my sanity and my carpet! Jasmine was my pretty fawn baby and a great companion dog. She absolutely loved to go bye-bye in the car. Thankfully, she was with us for 12 ½ years.
We now have Shadow, she is our brown eyed funny girl. She loves to be in the middle of everything and will take any opportunity to play. Best of all, she is a good watchdog. I feel so safe having her here in our home.
Lucinda is always just a phone call away for questions and ideas on training. I’ve contacted her several times to dog sit for me when I’ve gone on vacation and couldn’t take the dog.
I teasingly call Lucinda the Puppy Whisperer.
Sincerely,
Liz K. – Marysville, WA

I am happy to write a recommendation for Lucinda Rudolph and her boxer breeding practices.
I have cared for 4 boxers in my lifetime beginning at age 6. All of my previous boxers died of cancer around their 10th birthday. When I began my search for my Sarah, I called boxer people all over the US and Canada. I was shocked that many breeders bred dogs who had malignant mast cell tumors, commenting, "we just have them cut off".
Now, I only recommend Lucinda to people who ask about a boxer. This breed has serious health issues and that must be approached professionally with ethics and high standards. She understands the issues of healthy boxer breeding and has successfully bred litters that have all lived well into old age. She is concerned that each dog fits well with each new family. She puts the needs of her dogs first, something with which I agree.
Sarah was 12 in April, 2009. It’s an oxymoron for me to say 12 and boxer in the same sentence. Although she has some health issues, none are cancer. She’s still full of life and joy as are all her litter mates and her 14 year old mother Boxy. (Note: Boxy finally died in her sleep just last year)
Lucinda has been there for me whenever I’ve had a question. She responds quickly. Throughout our process she was open, listened, entertained my then unusual approach of home cooking and natural remedies for dogs. I’m happy to say my questions now concern geriatric dog questions, a new arena for me.
I believe good research is very necessary before adopting, rescuing, or buying a dog from a breeder. It is a life long commitment. Having a breeder that stands with you throughout the dog’s lifetime has been a wonderful "find" for Sarah and I.
I can whole-heartedly and with pleasure recommend Lucinda to anyone who is choosing a wonderful, boxer puppy.
All the best,
Terry Vinocur – Portland, OR

I have a Boxer from Lucinda, my dog Jessie is my service dog and she is the best dog that I have ever had. She is a very good friend and although she is 12 years old, and at times I think she thinks she is still a puppy. She has always been a very happy and healthy dog.
I know if I have any questions, Lucinda is always willing to help me out in any way she can. I fully trust her and the dogs that she breeds. She is an honest dog breeder, and you can trust that she will tell you the truth about her puppies.
